FAQ Tallow Salt Soap Powder
What is Tallow Salt Soap Powder?
Tallow Salt Soap Powder is a concentrated soap powder made using tallow and a traditional soap-making technique known as salting out.
What does "salting out" mean?
Salting out is the process of adding salt to soap to help separate the soap from the glycerine-rich liquid produced during soap making.
Why do you remove glycerine?
Removing much of the glycerine helps create a harder, drier soap that is easier to store and grind into powder.
Is glycerine bad?
Not at all.
Glycerine is highly valued in skincare products. However, for powdered cleaning products, reducing glycerine can make the soap more suitable for household cleaning applications.
